Vespa World Days 2011
The annual gathering of Vespa enthusiasts is coming to Gjøvik, Norway! Thousands of Vespa fans are expected to celebrate the most famous scooter in the world between May 19 to 22, 2011, in this gorgeous town just north of Oslo. With registration still open, thousands of Vespa riders have already signed up to attend, representing more than 120 clubs from around the world.
The weekend of celebrating is full of events, excursions, and, of course, the awarding of the Vespa Trophy for the second year in a row. This competition is for Vespa travelers who are part of a Vespa Club, requiring them to document their trip to Vespa World Days with photos and stamps from as many stops as possible at European Vespa dealerships.
One particular highlight of the weekend will be on Saturday May 21 when thousands of attendees with their different Vespa models will parade for over 18 miles to the town of Kapp. This guarantees to be quite the spectacle with all the different-colored Vespa models out there!
If you are attending, let us know on our Vespa USA Facebook page and share your photos with those of us who can not attend. We may be jealous but we would love to see them!
